Needforspeed.
The drizzle drops were pouring down on her car window screen, music was blaring in the background, she was maneuvering the steering wheel with one hand and gears ,with the other. She was driving too fast, even for reality to catch up with her. Blurred screen, bewildered thoughts and broken her.
Pressing the clutch, changing the gear, a direct backward from gear three into gear four, and the right foot automatically pressed down onto the accelerator.
Speed was her therapy.
Memories of you raced in her head.
The way you held her hand in the night, to help her face the world. The time you glided your hands on her back and rubbed it to warmth. When you smiled and her world turned bright. When you fell asleep in her lap and she kept her hands infront of your face, so that the light won't bother you. The way you would just hold her and gift her sanity back.
And when you said, "I love you meri jaan."
An abrupt halt came to the passing memories.
The window screen shattered, blood smeared on the steering wheel and rain water pouring into a head wound.
There was an accident.
Speed destroyed her.
Her mind spoke only one thing to her memory.
"Where are you jaan?"

but i know what u mean.. i often do it too..somehow if you run away long enough and fast enough you'll leave your reality behind..but what we forget is that our realities are stitched to the soles of our feet, like shackles, they'll only draw us back.
