...And follow the scent with outstretched arms.

Winter, our favourite season; especially in the summers, You thought; as a nippy wind began to blow.
Imagine the cold blooded, desperately finding a place to hibernate. You too, have had enough of those egg shells, on your bed head.
The city turning into it's faded colours. A bit of grey with everything. Green grey leaves and yellow grey Sunshine. Birds flying frantically, collecting twigs into kitchen exhaust fans and air conditioners, to build a cozy nest.
Long coats of dark blue and purple bloom on people. Gas heaters light bright orange, in little rooms. Where you sit in your corner, with the brown cushion. At times, burning paper and at others, just observing.

Her most awaited rain, Cyclones. The freezing droplets, with warm school burgers. The agitated expression of some
finicky girls, I straightened my hair. Despite the rain, Winters are still arid. Cracking skins smoothed by Warm Vanilla Sugar body butter. Her, hoping against all odds, for a little snow. Maybe more than just a little.

Snow fights, that turns into ice fights, leaving bruises on backs and thighs. Round shaped snow, pushed into your clothes, from the collar. Sweat socks become snow socks. Winter gatherings around the heater, to remove the shiver away.
Your annoyance at it.
Mama said i should have stayed home.

8 AM, Breakfast plans.

Nostalgia.
The wind brings, the fragrance of Raat Ki Raani, strong. You listen for the warmth in the chill of the air and follow the scent with outstretched arms.
Touching the leaves and just living the moment.
Recalling her past, and finding the
warmth.
