Stranger II [lost things]

There's a man filling the square shaped hole in the wall with bricks and cement; from where the air conditioner has been removed to be replaced by a split. From sky, sad blue walls her room will be ocean turquoise, finally a new colour.
She sits in the corner of her room, wondering of how her favourite city roads were broken and changed, altering her memory of them. Thinking, if the wall colours are changed, will everything, that has been left, the little bit, would it also change.
Taking a deep sigh, she gets up and pulls the carton of books out, from under the study table. She has to sort these books out, she won't need them anymore. Her room needs to be cleaned before the painters paint the walls with new colour, with new pain.

There is a sudden urge to look through each note book, through each text book.
Notebooks, that have pieces of her past written, that she can't forget, even after trying. They have love of the rarest kind marked all over it; hand written messages from the Stranger.
Flipping through the pages, her void heart and a numbed mind begins to be occupied with emotions, like the cement and the bricks filling the gap.

It repairs the feeling of loss momentarily, and then a greater, a deeper cavity formulates. She sees your hand writing, she sees the words she's longing to hear. Craving so much, that her sanity has been stolen. That she doesn't want the room colour to change, she doesn't want to throw these books. The past. She has kept as her stabilizer.
Restlessness captivates her, she breaks her thought loop and begins looking for things she lost. Frantically looking, scattering all the books here and there from the carton box, she searches for a silver, round and hollow object. Her ring, that had an engraving. She knows she won't find it, yet she looks.

The lack of hope makes her wearied, she stops looking. She thinks of all the things that happened. Of all the reasons that made her Stranger leave, of all the times she broke his heart. She wants to be righteous, she wants to blame the ring for being lost and for her relation to be shattered. It's not true. She is to be blamed.

She opens her locked drawer and there she finds a card. A card that's been bought. A card that has been written by the Stranger, which was a mistake; and then over written by the Stranger's best friend.

"Don't Look Back and regret.
Stay Safe"

How can she not look back? You were her entire life. The reason for each breath. The reason to her smiles. The reason after each reason for every reason.

She tears the pages that had the Stranger's writing on and puts it in her locked drawer.

Nothing can take, that away. That love, that existed.

perhaps it is a good idea to repaint the room... the memories remain... the thoughts remain... but a new colour may give things a new light...

a new light... a new hope... a new idea... some inspiration... some courage... and perhaps... even the will to repaint again...

who knows... but... do not fight it... just do it... lets repaint !!!
